Mobile Crib Rooms for Sale in the Bowen Basin and Central QLD

Buy directly from the Queensland builder for your next Central Queensland contract. Site Mate builds the Series 7 in Woongoolba (Jacobs Well) on the northern Gold Coast, QLD. Talk to the people who build it about your crew, layout changes and getting a unit to your site.

An owned crew lunchroom and mobile site office for spread-out work fronts. Discuss Series 7 Standard, Off-Grid and custom layouts directly with the Queensland builder.

Ownership across contracts

Why own a crib room for Central QLD work?

Long-running contracts can take crews through several work fronts before the job finishes. Owning a mobile crib room gives you a crew lunchroom and mobile site office to move with that work, then take into the next contract. Plan the purchase around the locations and activities ahead.

For Bowen Basin contractors, the first compound may be only one stop. Consider who uses the office, where breaks happen and how the unit will be serviced after each move. Explore the mobile crib rooms for sale overview and Australian buying guide to shape your purchase brief.

Match the services

Standard or Off-Grid for the work front?

Series 7 Standard suits sites with power and services, such as an established serviced compound. Series 7 Off-Grid suits work fronts without mains power. In Central Queensland, work areas can be spread out and far from mains power and water, making a self-contained towable facility relevant as the job moves.

Choose around the services at the actual working position, including later placements. Compare the Series 7 configurations and the off-grid mobile site office option with your expected daily use.

Bowen Basin and beyond

A crew base for different kinds of work.

This purchase suits contractors who service mining operations, civil and earthmoving contractors, haul road and rail maintenance crews, and drilling and exploration teams. Pipeline, power and water infrastructure contractors, renewable energy project crews, and agricultural and rural operators can also plan around an owned facility.

Tell us whether your work is around Mackay, Moranbah, Dysart, Middlemount, Emerald, Blackwater, Clermont, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Biloela or surrounding areas. A portable lunchroom for a Moranbah crew and a site caravan for a Mackay contractor start with the same questions: people, services and movement between jobs.

Site requirements

Discuss mine site requirements before the build.

Mine sites and principal contractors set their own requirements for equipment brought on site. Buyers should get the site's requirements from the operator or principal contractor and talk to us early so we can discuss them before the build.

Include the requirements in your initial enquiry, alongside the intended use and selected configuration. Do not assume a unit will be accepted at a particular site. We do not promise to meet any particular requirement; the discussion needs to happen before you commit to a build.

Moving with the job

One owned unit, several work fronts.

Where crews move as a contract progresses, plan each relocation as part of the purchase. An owned lunchroom and office can follow the team between work fronts, keeping the intended use consistent while the location changes. Our work caravans page explains this combined role.

Check loaded weight, ratings and a suitable tow vehicle for the selected unit and the site's access roads. Review the specifications before planning movements; assess each destination rather than assuming every approach road is suitable.

Remote site planning

Plan power, water and heat together.

The Series 7 Off-Grid has an 8 kW off-grid power system. Its 1.2 kW of solar comprises three 400 W panels, each with its own MPPT solar controller, charging two 314 Ah 24 V lithium batteries feeding an 8 kVA inverter/charger. A 4.5 kVA diesel generator provides backup with a 100 L diesel tank. Runtime depends on loads and weather.

Fresh water and waste water tanks are 500 L each. Plan replenishment and waste servicing alongside electrical loads. Heat matters for crew breaks, so include reverse-cycle split-system air conditioning in that discussion. Use the power planning guide and water and wastewater planning guide.

Crew shifts and breaks

Make room for lunch and site administration.

The layout combines crew dining, a kitchen with a 215 L 12/240 V fridge-freezer, two workstations and reverse-cycle split-system air conditioning. Consider when the office is needed and whether everyone breaks together or in shifts.

Review the floor plans with your crew routine in mind. The crew and shift planning guide helps organise that conversation without overlooking how the space is used between breaks.

Custom builds and fleet orders

Discuss the layout for each crew.

Talk directly with Site Mate about custom layouts and multi-unit fleet orders. Outline the role of each unit, the services at each location and whether one layout works across the fleet. Discuss changes with the people building it.

Bring a brief using the fleet planning guide and custom layout guide. Buyers also operating in South East Queensland can refer to our Brisbane sales page.

Delivery and site readiness

Start with the destination.

Talk to us about getting a unit to your Central Queensland site. Provide the destination, proposed position, available services and access information, together with any operator or principal contractor requirements.

Use the delivery and site-readiness checklist to prepare the discussion. Check the selected unit and the site's access roads before arranging transport and placement.
